Career Development
Working out what to do next and where to go is a problem that faces us all at some time during our careers. Changes in personal circumstances, however caused, often lead to a need for some sound advice as to what to do next.
I have been providing career development advice for over 20 years. It has, also, been part of my normal duties as a manager of a large numbers of employees to nurture their development, and provide opportunities to stretch ability and imagination.
I have been particularly involved in the career development of Executives and Professionals, as I am one of these myself.
As I am qualified to use a broad range of psychometric assessments, this helps to identify the kind of career and general direction that is favourable for the skills and experiences that have been accumulating and need to be put to good use.
My general approach is to undertake an assessment of personality and interests which assists with the creation of a career development plan. This is followed by a searching interview to identify interests and ambitions. Finally, I help to open up possibilities for future direction and the steps needed to move there.
